Pertecnica Engineering aim is to provide the students with knowledge about structure and function of hydropower dams and tailings dams. Further to understand how the deterioration processes affect the function of dams and what type of repair method can be used dams are designed and constructed, Types of dams and function of different parts of dams, drainage layers, stability of dams ,Design analysis of a soil and rock embankment dam, Impact of wind and water on dams, Long term stability of dams, Investigation methods and sampling methods in dams, Hydraulic design studies and underwater construction methods and methodologies like coffer dams, Caissons. We at pertecnica engineering taking dam construction with a blend of project management so that students can reinforce they career in the respective field .

Our training includes…

  • Geo-technical studies
  • Feasibility studies & Detailed Project Reports
  • Different components of concrete gravity dams and their layouts
  • Design considerations of concrete  dam sections
  • Different type of loading of dams
  • Stability analysis of dam section
  • Construction processes for dams
  • Foundation preparation for dams
  • Investigation, preparation of designs, drawings, estimates, land plan schedules
  • Execution of pumping station

  • Construction of Barrage
  • Excavation of Tunnels
  • Lining of the canal
  • Approach canal to the tunnel
  • Pressure Tunnels & Gravity canals
  • Dam Construction

Dam Construction

Throughout the history of the world, dams have been used successfully in collecting, storing and maintaining water needed to sustain civilization. It has been an important role of harnessing the river waters for accelerating socio economic growth and mitigating occurrence of floods and droughts.

The purpose of a dam is to store water, flood control, irrigation, water supply, energy generation etc. Dams and reservoir construction is one of the most difficult technologies to execute. We have expert faculties; who teaches the students on latest developments in dam construction. This is one of the best course available for the civil engineers in India

Lift Irrigation

Lift irrigation Scheme is a finely tuned effort by the central government to facilitate the agricultural needs across India, so as to achieve an improvised output through efficient public, private partnerships. The project is envisaged to lift 109.02 Cumsecs of water from the foreshore of NSR project to irrigate approximately 6, 02,500 acres into ultimate utilization. Lift irrigation projects requires earthwork for canals and erection and commissioning of motor pumps and pipeline construction. In this program, we train the students on all important aspects in the lift irrigation projects for the civil engineering students

The Water Resource Planning, development and management is of utmost concern to the water resource planners, administrators and managers. The water resources projects have an important role in the development and ensuring availability of water for diverse uses.

water is of vital importance not only for all round economic development but even for the survival of our economy. In our country Water Resources Development Projects aimed at making availability of water for diverse uses, are being largely executed, operated, managed and maintained by the Government. We have undoubtedly made a remarkable achievement in the development of Water Resources Projects since independence funded by the financial resources provided by the Government from the public funds.

A conventional Lift Irrigation Scheme (LIS) consists of civil works such as intake well, intake pipe, jack well, pump house, rising main and distribution system to suit the command area. The lift irrigation schemes(LIS) can broadly be grouped as Medium / large and single stage and large & Medium with multi stage pumping systems wherein water is pumped more than 50 m height and have a command area more than 9000 acres.

pertecnica trains on Project management of the project  overview of the project  design considerations

soil investigations, designs, structures, selection of  pumps, selection  of pipe and fittings, operation and maintenance of pumping system, irrigation economics.
