Open Caste Mining

Mining construction includes ,study and interpretation of Geo-technical investigations,Railway lines, Wagon tippler facilities, Cargo & Marine Facility  Roads & Bridges ,Power Generation & Transmission conveyor systems ,Slurry Pipeline , Fuel Supply and Base Camp/Township constructions.

 Pertecnica train all civil & environmental engineers, BE/BTech students on works associated with mine site facilities and the open cut mine to produce coal. Training includes heavy equipment and fuelling facilities, high and low voltage power distribution, water supply and wastewater treatment, all roads and drainage including haul roads, administration and amenity buildings, and quarters and airstrip. Study of all engineering requirements, layout, typical sections, reliable quantities and estimating the Project costs.

Underground Mining

Pertecnica engineering proving course on open cast & under-ground mine development ,construction of site access, stock piles, Mine access for miners and equipments, Material Handling facilities ,Geo-technical investigations ,Support constructions for Long-wall mining and continuous miner support facilities .Also trains on creating facilities and support infrastructure such as power, water, communication, ventilation and man-access systems and underground mobile equipment such as man transporters . Longwall mining is used in depths of 100m to 650m and roof support systems construction is the key to Underground mine operations. Deep Sea Mining

Oceans and seas cover over 70 percent of the earth’s surface. Approximately 55 percent of these waters harbor deep ocean basins that contain mineral resources such as gold, silver, copper, nickel, cobalt, zinc, lead, and barium .Deep seas has hidden treasures like marine dioamonds,marine phosphates,Iron sands,Gas Hydrates, Manganese crust,Massive sulphides ,Metalic mud. These minerals are available up to the depths of 6000m and beyond.

Pertecnica Engineering is the first of its kind in Asia – Pacific & India  to train civil & mining engineers on Deep sea-bed mining technologies. The 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea established the International Seabed Authority (ISA), which became fully operational as an autonomous international organization in 1996. The ISA, which counted 167 member countries and states as of January 2015, organizes and controls activities on the seabed and ocean floor that lie beyond the limits of national jurisdictions.

The number of companies seeking licenses to explore deep-sea environments is increasing rapidly. Pertecnica is geared up to take this challenge of creating high quality engineers & Leaders in this domain. Use large robotic machines to excavate material by removing deep-sea hydrothermal chimneys and then cutting deeper into the sea floor. A suction hood and pipe behind the cutter head of the underwater robot will collect the material, along with anything living on it, which will be pumped up to a ship on the surface as slurry. On board the ship, the slurry mixture would be “dewatered”, shifting the solid material into a barge, while the used seawater – containing sediments and heavy metals – would be pumped back down towards the sea floor using pipes.

The exploration of deep-sea minerals typically consists of three phases: locating, sampling and drilling., equipments used for deep-sea mining are Autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) , Remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and drill rigs.

Classroom Training

Pertecnica offers classroom training on Mining and exploration of natural resources for civil engineers. This is a 2 months training program which includes classes by faculty, video lectures, projects and case studies. At the end of the program, the student will get course completion certificate and 2 months internship certificate.
